Panel Quilt

There are so many great panels around – why not look at incorporating them into a quilt. With a collection of 6 pillow sized panels (please check the store for the size of panel you need), and some scrap fabrics, you can have a beautiful quilt with little effort.

Convergence Quilt

These are amazing quilts that make good use of your fabric. Choose either Project 1 or Project 4 and prepare to be awed. You want to make more than one just too see what happens.

Wondering what to do with those 2½" fabric bales? This is a great project using a 30 strip bale, then add a background fabric and two borders. Quick & easy.

Miniature Landscape

Prerequisite: Threadpainting class at The Hobby Horse In this class Dianne will teach the basics of thread painting and you will create a miniature landscape with fabric piecing and free motion thread painting. You will learn the basics of drawing, light, perspective, and choice of thread and fabrics. By the end of class you will have a winter miniature landscape. Come with your creativity and you will go away amazed at your creations.

Home for Christmas
Tree Skirt

This simple tree skirt is great for all levels. Start now and have it ready for Christmas. Choose the simple 3-colour version or more complex with 15 colours. Finish it off with a pointed or scalloped edge.

Have you ever wondered what to do with those cute Christmas panels. Come and get some great ideas on how to put them together and some embellishing ideas.

Galaxy Star Quilt
Date: Saturday July 19
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This is a great pattern to learn assembly style paper piecing. If you are not familiar with paper piecing you will learn that technique in the class. Choose from 3" or 6" blocks. Pattern can also be made with templates and rotary cutting if you are not into paper piecing.

What do I do with my Quilt Top NOW ?

The top is done, but now what? This class will walk you through the steps of basting a quilt, choosing quilting designs and thread as well as binding a quilt. A MUST class for beginners, but also a great refresher for more experienced sewers who are experiencing difficulties.

Crayoning
Date: Wednesday July 23

Crayoning is so simple, yet the results are stunning. The technique can be used on a variety of fabrics and then a bit of embroidery will make the images pop off the fabric. If you’ve never embroidered before, don’t worry, the basic stitches will be covered.

Punch Needle

Punch needle is similar to rug hooking, except on a smaller scale. Pick one of the many patterns available and spend an afternoon learning a new technique. The projects work up fast, the technique is easy and loads of fun.
